UP: HC asks SIT to submit report on co-op recruitment

The Allahabad High Court has asked for the submission of the progress report on the ongoing SIT investigation against the accused including former Chairman of Cooperative Institutional Service Board Omkar Yadav and secretary Bhupendra Vishnoi in the cooperative recruitment scam case.

The court has directed the SIT to submit its report on the next date of hearing, which will be held on September 29.

The order was given by Justice Dr. Kaushal Jayendra Thakar and Justice Nalin Kumar Srivastava, while hearing the petition filed by Maheshwari Prasad Rai.

Readers would recall that the SIT investigation conducted by the state government led by Yogi Adityanath on the complaint of Virendra Pandey, former general secretary of Sahakar Bharati, The Samajwadi Party has been accused of influencing the recruitment results by rigging the ORM sheets of the candidates recruited in several Uttar Pradesh co-operative organizations.
