UP: Co-op strong man Jaiveer joins BJP

A politician with considerable clout in the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative circle MLC Jaiveer Singh has resigned from BSP to join BJP this Saturday. Jaiveer also brought along with him three of his associates to the BJP fold.

Jaiveer’s nephew Upendra Singh, Upendra Bhan Pachauri, former Chairman, Cooperative Bank and  Narendra Pachauri , a director on the board of cooperative bank have also joined BJP.

Jaiveer Singh’s joining of the saffron bandwagon is a major loss to BSP, considering his command over the co-operative sector of the state, reports local media.

These new entrants to BJP have praised Adityanath Yogi government in UP for its welfare schemes for the poor. We must appreciate the development strategy of Yogi Adityanath’s government of taking care the welfare of farmers and village development.

Jaiveer Singh was earlier elected to the Barauli constituency of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 2002 and 2007. Singh was a minister in the Mayawati government of 2007 to 2012. His wife Raj Kumari Chauhan was MP of Aligarh.
