The Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh swept the elections of district consumer cooperative unions, ending the hold of Samajwadi Party.
BJP has even won the election of Etawah Consumer Cooperative Union, Samajwadi Party’s home ground as it were. It is said, out of the elections held in 47-consumer unions, BJP won the elections of around 44 making almost a clean sweep of the Samajwadi Party.
Now, the BJP has started preparations for the elections of District Central Cooperative Banks, The elections of boards of directors are scheduled for 22nd June 2023 whereas the elections of Chairman and Vice-Chairman will be held on 23rd June 2023.
