IFFCO Managing Director K. J. Patel shared India’s cooperative vision during a panel discussion on “Contract for a New Global Economy” at the UN World Social Summit (WSS) in Doha. Highlighting the pivotal role of agriculture in shaping a fairer and more cooperative world, Patel underscored the need for inclusive and sustainable growth through collective action.
Representing India on the global stage, Patel said he was proud to present the country’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi”-prosperity through cooperation-an idea inspired by the commitment of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and guided by Hon’ble Union Minister for Home and Cooperation Shri Amit Shah.
He emphasised that under the leadership of the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, the cooperative movement is being continuously strengthened, promoting unity, inclusivity, and shared prosperity across the nation. Patel’s remarks reflected India’s growing influence in shaping global conversations on cooperative-led economic transformation.
