ULCCS: ULTS launches Graduate Hire programme

The UL Technology Solutions (ULTS) launched its maiden Graduate Hire (GH) training programme for the first batch of 35 candidates from four states in South India. After the initial induction programmes, they would be proceeding to the UL Learning and Knowledge centre in Karaparamba.

The idea behind the programme is to initiate a batch of 30-35 candidates every fortnight and conclude a comprehensive training for 250 fresh graduates in the first year.

The training programme was inaugurated by ULCCS chairman Rameshan Paleri at UL Cyber Park’s banquet hall in the presence of CEO Raveendran Kasthuri.

The GHs will be trained on multiple aspects including technical and business domain and common skills required for their job. The training process is a blend of classroom learning and hands-on training.

The ULTS has maintained gender equality by hiring equal numbers of female and male candidates and made sure that 50 per cent of the slots were reserved for candidates from outside Kerala, as part of giving a Cosmopolitan face to the organisation, claimed ULTS sources.

“Engineering graduates from all streams, with high aptitude and a good attitude, were selected through various levels of tests and interviews organised in various campuses in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, apart from Kerala.  As many as 1,634 candidates were screen through campus drives, employee referrals and social media”, they asserted.

It was reviewed in a strategy meeting held in April this year that there was a need for 475 additional talents. Apart from the lateral hiring, the rest would be filled by these 250 GHs.
