U-Sphere, a subsidiary of the Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS), has appointed Biju Mahima as its Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. With over 30 years of experience in the construction, infrastructure, and engineering sectors, Mahima brings a proven track record of executing complex, high-impact projects across India and the Middle East.
An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Mahima holds a PGCBM in Business Administration and Management, an M-Tech in Structural Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, and a B-Tech in Civil Engineering from MACE, Kerala. He is also a qualified officer of the Indian Engineering Services (IES) and has served with the Military Engineering Services (MES).
Before joining U-Sphere, he was Vice President at Jindal Steel & Power Ltd, where he led the Construction Solutions vertical and managed high-rise and industrial projects across steel, RCC, precast, and LGS systems. He previously served as Project Head at LULU Infra Build, where he led the Rs 1,500 crore Lulu IT Park project in Cochin, covering over 3.62 million sq. ft. with a combination of RCC, composite, and steel structures.
His international experience includes leadership roles at Emirates Engineering Services (UAE) and Al Zamil Industries (Saudi Arabia), where he oversaw engineering, design, and structural execution of major industrial and commercial projects.

In his new role, Mahima will work closely with the Design & Engineering, Production, and Execution teams to deliver integrated, tech-enabled building solutions across institutional, residential, commercial, and industrial segments.
U-Sphere is an advanced initiative of ULCCS, India’s largest worker-owned cooperative, which manages a Rs 2,000+ crore infrastructure portfolio.
