Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS), Kerala’s century-old worker-owned infrastructure cooperative, is planning to diversify into railway, airport, and port sectors.
Talking to a media agency Arun Baboo, Chief Operating Officer said that ULCCS is in talks with potential partners and aligning with pre-qualification norms, especially in ports, airports, and tunnels.
Baboo emphasized the need for “like-minded collaborators” to boost execution efficiency. Founded in 1925, ULCCS has delivered major projects in highways, bridges, and urban development, mainly funded through project revenues and institutional loans like those from NABARD.
