ULCCS Chairman honoured with ‘Global Kadathanadan’ Award

Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS) Chairman Ramesan Paleri was conferred the prestigious Global Kadathanadan Award for his outstanding contribution to cooperative development and social upliftment.

The award was presented during the eighth annual celebrations of the Kadathanad Family Forum, held at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre in Vashi, Mumbai, recently.

The honour was bestowed by Vadakara MP Shafi Parambil, who also inaugurated the event. Vadakara MLA K. K. Rema, the evening’s chief guest, felicitated Paleri with a ceremonial shawl, recognising his exemplary service and transformational leadership at the helm of ULCCS.

The event was graced by several distinguished personalities from Mumbai’s vibrant Malayali community, including acclaimed actress Veena Nair, Commander E. V. Thomas (Chairman, E.V. Homes), and other cultural and social leaders. The programme was presided over by Manoj Malavika, President of the Kadathanad Family Forum Trust, with Secretary P. P. Prakasan delivering the welcome address.

Founded over a century ago and under Ramesan Paleri’s stewardship, ULCCS has grown into Asia’s largest labour cooperative, with over 7,500 completed projects. It has become a pioneering force in infrastructure and multi-sectoral development.

ULCCS has also expanded into IT, tourism, education, agriculture, and more, earning global recognition as a Total Solution Provider and a model of cooperative excellence.
