In a landmark moment, “Tribhuvan” Sahkari University unveiled its official logo recently, marking a significant step in shaping its identity. The unveiling was led by Padma Shri Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor of the University, in the presence of Dr. Saswata Biswas, Director, IRMA; faculty; staff; and participants of academic programmes.
The logo, designed by Sumit Sharma, Research Fellow, Centre of Excellence in Commodity Markets, IRMA, encapsulates the University’s guiding values, Knowledge, Cooperation, Equity, and Sustainable Community Empowerment.
The design features an open book at its foundation, symbolizing knowledge as the root of progress. From the book rises a flourishing tree, with human figures forming its trunk and canopy, representing people at the center of growth, cooperation, and empowerment, especially the symbolic empowerment of women.
The rising sun reflects hope and transformation, water at the base signifies nourishment and continuity, while the roots stretching from the book emphasize sustainability. Equity is reflected in the evenly spread leaves, and the dynamic pages symbolize innovation.
The University’s motto, (Sahak?ra Jñ?na? Janakaly???ya), Cooperative knowledge for the welfare of the people, ties the vision to the enduring legacy of Shri Tribhuvandas Patel, underscoring the institution’s mission to empower communities through cooperative learning.
