The Ministry of Cooperation has notified amendments to the Tribhuvan Sahkari University Statutes, 2025, revising the composition of members in its statutory bodies.
The amendments have been made under Section 33 of the Tribhuvan Sahkari University Act, 2025 and shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
Under the amended Statutes, two officers of the rank of Joint Secretary and above from the Ministry of Cooperation have been included as ex-officio members.
The notification also provides for the inclusion of a representative of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), Gujarat, as a member. In addition, one representative, by rotation for a period of three years, from either the Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited (Nandini) or the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited (Aavin) has been included.
Consequential changes relating to the serial numbering of clauses in the Statutes have also been notified.
The amendments have been issued with the approval of the Central Government and have been signed by Anand Kumar Jha, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation.
