Tribhuvan Sahkari University on Monday inaugurated a Management Development Programme on “Training of Trainers on PMFBY and KCC”, aimed at strengthening awareness and outreach of key agricultural support schemes among farmers. The programme, launched on Monday, is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

The inaugural session was attended by Saswata Narayan Biswas, Director of Institute of Rural Management Anand and Dean of the School of Cooperative Management at TSU, along with M. S. Also present were Pranav Mali, Technical Support and Training Associate at United Nations Development Programme, and Prof. Aashish Argade, Programme Coordinator. The programme focuses on building trainers’ capacity on the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Kisan Credit Card, covering agricultural risk management, crop insurance mechanisms, claim assessment, weather-based insurance and digital platforms.

It aims to equip trainers to effectively spread awareness and extend the benefits of these schemes to last-mile farmers across the country.
