The Tripura State Cooperative Bank (TSCB) took a lead role in advancing financial inclusion in Gomati district by organising a special camp at Hadra Gram Panchayat under Tepania Block.
The event focused on achieving saturation in key social security schemes, PMJJBY, PMSBY, and APY, and completing Re-KYC formalities. Dr. Neena R. Jain, Chief General Manager, Consumer Education and Protection Department, RBI, visited the TSCB camp along with senior RBI officials and local MLA Jitendra Majumder.
Dr. Jain lauded TSCB’s proactive outreach and stressed the importance of Re-KYC, PMJDY accounts, and social security enrolment for wider coverage. She also explained RBI’s grievance redressal systems, urging citizens to use the Integrated Ombudsman Scheme.
MLA Majumder encouraged residents to enrol in schemes, while RBI officials advised vigilance against financial fraud. The camp formed part of a three-month statewide campaign launched July 1, coordinated by PNB as SLBC convenor, with RBI monitoring progress.
TSCB’s efforts reinforced its role as a key driver of financial empowerment in rural Tripura.
