Tribal cooperative marketing development federation of India [ TRIFED] will work together with IIT Delhi under the HRD Ministry’s ”Unnat Bharat Abhiyan” (UBA) to increase livelihood opportunities and income generation for tribal communities, reports PTI.
The UBA seeks to involve institutions of higher education in the transformation of rural communities.
A tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)has been signed between TRIFED, IIT Delhi and Vijnana Bharati, a swadeshi science movement. TRIFED functions under the Tribal Affairs Ministry.
