Indian Express quotes sources as saying the Trifed officials did not attend a meeting called by its chairman with two RSS-affiliated organisations, Akhil Bhartiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram and Sahakar Bharati, earlier this year.
The functionaries at the federation had refused to take part in the meeting on the ground that their presence in the meeting would run counter to service rules that underlined govt servants’ political neutrality.
Chairman Rathwa’s meeting was only attended by Sahakar Bharati national president D.N. Thakur and Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram’s interface with the government, Sharad Chavan.
