A stakeholders’ consultation meeting titled “Transforming Agriculture Research – Enhancing Role of Private Sector” was held at Krishi Bhawan.
Chaired by Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shri Bhagirath Choudhary, and moderated by Dr. Devesh Chaturvedi and Dr. Himanshu Pathak, the session saw over 1,000 participants from across India, including representatives from ICAR, universities, KVKs, private sector organizations, and government departments.
Key discussions focused on enhancing agricultural research and strengthening Public-Private Partnerships. Experts shared insights on improving productivity, resilience in agriculture, and funding in ‘challenge mode.’
The consultation aimed to address practical issues and develop a roadmap for implementing new technologies for farmers. The session concluded with a vote of thanks from Shri Sanjay Garg, Additional Secretary, DARE.
