Functionaries at Sanarpatti Cooperative Society in Tamil Nadu have found that borrowers have been giving fake ornaments as collateral over the last few years to the society, reports Hindu.
The society found that the gold ornaments pledged by some borrowers were either fake or imitation ornaments.
Sources say the society will soon lodge a formal complaint with the police in the matter.
