NCDC has sanctioned a total financial assistance of Rs 1,345 lakh on 22.03.2007 and released Rs 1,344.87 lakh till 05.07.2016, in which Rs 1,184.94 lakh was disbursed as loans and Rs 159.93 lakh was disbursed as subsidy to the Government of Tamil Nadu for implementation of ICDP in Pudukottai district, said Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah while giving a written reply to a query raised by M Mohamed Abdulla.
“The major part of the total disbursement (Rs 625.29 Lakh) was for the development of the Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), under the Integrated Cooperative Development Project (ICDP) for the Pudukkottai district, to carry out activities viz. construction of godown and repairing works, erection of compound walls etc”, he further added.
Shah added, “However, in the last five years no fund has been disbursed under the Integrated Cooperative Development Project (ICDP) by NCDC for the cooperative societies in the Pudukkottai district of Tamil Nadu. Further, no new projects are being sanctioned under the ICDP project/CSISAC scheme by NCDC”.
