TN govt sets up DCCB in Namakkal district

On March 6, the Tamil Nadu Government issued a directive to establish a central cooperative bank in Namakkal district, aiming to support farmers and industrialists.

Currently, the central cooperative bank operating in Salem district has 45 branches in Salem and 39 branches in Namakkal.

The decision to create a separate cooperative bank for Namakkal stemmed from the district’s significance in the poultry industry, lorry body building, and castor oil production, as highlighted in an official press release.
