Tamil Nadu’s cooperative banks have issued significant loans to farmers, with 18.36 lakh farmers receiving Rs 15,542 crore in 2023-24, said Cooperation Minister KR Periyakaruppan.
From April 1 to November 1, 8.62 lakh farmers received Rs 7,666 crore.
Fertiliser supply remains stable, with 77,797 MT of urea, 41,119 MT of DAP, 18,490 MT of MOP, and 70,116 MT of complex fertilisers distributed. Additional stocks of urea, DAP, MOP, and complex fertilisers are in place for future needs.
