Burglars recently attempted to make away with ornaments mortgaged at the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Bank (PACB) at Thisaiyanvilai in Trinuveli district of Tamil Nadu, reports Hindu.
Police said the unidentified burglars wearing masks entered into the bank after breaking the locks at the main entrance. When they tried to break the safe, the alarm got activated.
The burglars abandoned their attempt and escaped when their continuous efforts to break the locker failed, police said.
The local police have registered a case in this connection.
