Hindu reports the second phase of elections for 197 co-operative societies for 2,448 posts will be held in Tamil Nadu in early October. The results will be announced immediately after.
About 682 posts are reserved for women and 438 posts for Aadi Dravidar and Scheduled Tribes. After the results, the elections for head and deputy for co-operative societies will be held mid-October.
