The Trinamool Congress (TMC) secured a clean sweep in the Kushmandi Fishermen’s Cooperative elections, winning all six seats as results were declared late Sunday, media reports say.
Jubilant party workers celebrated with slogans and processions at the Kushmandi block office on Monday, hailing the victory as a boost ahead of the Assembly polls.
TMC leaders credited the win to welfare measures, financial aid, and livelihood schemes introduced for fishermen.
Local leader Reza Jahir Abbas said the mandate reflected grassroots trust and would inspire further initiatives for community development.
