TJSB elects Board without voting; Gangal continues in new team

The elections for the Board of Directors of TJSB Sahakari Bank, one of India’s leading urban cooperative banks, have concluded without any contest.

All 11 seats on the board were secured unopposed, and the outgoing Chairman, Sharad Gangal, has successfully retained his position as a director.

Although the official results are yet to be declared, the final list of candidates has already been posted on the official website of TJSB Sahakari Bank.

The elected directors from the Thane district constituency include Sharad Gangal, Ramdas Hegde, Shailendra Khandekar, Pavankumar Maheshwari, Samir Patankar, Vaibhav Singavi, and Sachin Tatake.

From outside the Thane district constituency, RCV Kavi has been elected, while Ashwini Bapat and Pournima Ranade have been elected as women candidates from the Thane district constituency.

Additionally, from the Thane district SC/CT constituency, Bhausaheb Gaikwad has been elected.

The official results are expected to be announced on January 9, 2025.

TJSB Sahakari Bank has seen significant growth in its financial performance, with its business crossing Rs 22,000 crore and earning a net profit of Rs 216 crore in the 2023-24 financial year, registering a growth of 25.41 percent over the previous year.
