Jose K Peter, the Managing Director of Thodupuzha Urban Cooperative Bank Ltd (TUBCL), has been removed from his position following allegations of sexually harassing a senior female employee.
The incident escalated when he publicly read her confidential complaint during a staff meeting. After an investigation confirmed the allegations’ credibility, Peter was suspended and subsequently resigned.
His request for anticipatory bail was denied by the High Court, with further proceedings scheduled for June 26.
