Several cooperators congratulated BJP National President Amit Shah who got elected to the upper House of Parliament for the first time last month. NAFED Government nominee Ashok Thakur was one of the firsts to do so by meeting Shah at BJP office at Ashoka Road, New Delhi.
Soon after he met, Thakur shared the photographs on social media and wrote “I had the privilege of congratulating and honoring the National President of Bhartiya Janta Party Amit Shah on being elected as the member of Rajya Sabha”.
I had met Amit Shahji in BJP office and congratulated him after being elected to Rajya Sabha from Gujarat for the first time”, said Ashok Thakur to this correspondent on phone.
Shah started his political carrier as a cooperator and had been on the board of several cooperative bodies in Gujarat. Even now he is on the Board of Gujarat State Co-op Bank.
