The Telangana State Cooperative Urban Banks Federation, with support from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Hyderabad, successfully conducted a training program on the exchange of mutilated/soiled currency notes and identification of fake notes for Urban Cooperative Banks (UCBs) recently.

The program was held in two sessions—Pochampally UCB (morning batch) and Adarsh UCB (afternoon batch)—to facilitate smooth participation. A record 90 staff members attended, with 41 from Pochampally UCB and 49 from Adarsh UCB, making the event a grand success.

G. Madana Gopala Swamy, Director of NAFCUB and President of the Telangana State Coop Urban Banks Federation, addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning for personal and institutional growth. He urged staff to enhance customer satisfaction, as it is key to banking success.

The training was conducted by D.S.V. Ratnakar, Retired AGM, RBI Hyderabad, who covered crucial aspects such as identification of fake notes, exchange rules for soiled/mutilated notes, and their impact on banking services.

Federation CEO Krishna Murthy praised the participants for attending on a holiday, acknowledging their dedication to improving banking services. The program was well-received, reinforcing best practices in cash handling across UCBs.
