Agriculture and Handlooms Minister Thummala Nageshwar Rao announced forthcoming elections for weavers’ cooperative societies in Telangana, reports Telangana Today.
In a meeting with cooperative representatives at the Secretariat, he revealed that the Telangana State Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society (TESCO) secured government orders worth Rs 255 crore.
Additionally, the government has directed all departments to procure textiles solely through TESCO, benefiting handloom workers significantly.
