According to a report in the Hindu, Telangana State Cooperative Apex Bank’s Chairman K Ravinder Rao has been tasked with the assignment of strengthening cooperatives in the state.
For this purpose, a committee has been formed which includes representatives from RBI, Nabard and others. The committee was constituted by state Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi.
It was also decided in the meeting the CEO would be appointed within 45 days, on the lines of recommendation of RBI.
It was resolved to appoint TSCOB senior officials as officers on special duty (OSD) to the DCCBs in the light of complaints over violation of norms in some district-level banks.
