SVC Bank Chairman Yennemadi is no more; Board to decide on new name

SVC Cooperative Bank Chairman Vinod G. Yennemadi passed away last Saturday. He was 78. He died in Bangalore.

Yennemadi had been on the board of SVC Bank since 2011-12. SVC is the third largest urban cooperative bank of India.

A respectable name in the cooperative circle, Yennemadi had replaced Udaykumar P Gurkar as the Chairman winning the bank’s election last year.

A commerce graduate Yennemadi held positions as Finance Director/ Group Financial Advisor for over two decades in various corporate organizations.

He joined HDFC in April 1994 as Executive Director (Finance and Administration).

As SVC family was devastated by the news, its website posted, “The SVC Bank mourns the sad demise of our beloved and dynamic Chairman, Mr. Vinod Yennamadi. He is deeply mourned by the Board of Directors and employees of the Bank”.

Indian Cooperative also joins others in praying for the peace of the departed soul.

Sources say now the board members will soon decide about the new Chairman. The board meeting is likely to be held on 24th July.
