Suspended Co-op Secretary booked in Karnataka

A criminal case has been registered against SC Umesh, the suspended secretary of the Kolliganahalli Vividhodesha Primary Rural Agricultural Cooperative Society, for allegedly taking away eight important records and documents belonging to the society, says media reports.

According to the complaint filed by the current secretary, the missing records disrupted the society’s annual audit and daily administrative operations. Police suspect the documents were removed to conceal alleged fund misappropriation during Umesh’s tenure from 2011 to 2026.

Following his suspension in March, he allegedly failed to hand over society records and equipment. After officials broke open the office lock, several key documents were found missing.
