Biscomaun Chairman Dr Sunil Kumar Singh lost no time in greeting the newly elected MLA Swarna Kamal Saha. Saha is Sunil’s colleague in the Governing Council of the apex body of co-ops in the country, NCUI.
It bears recall that West Bengal State Cooperative Union Chairman Swarna Kamal Saha has again won the West Bengal Assembly election from Entally constituency with a huge margin.
Saha was also victorious in the recently concluded NCUI elections, where Sunil and others supported him. Saha polled 101709 votes whereas his revival Priyanka Tibrewal received only 43452 in the Assembly elections.
As an MLC Sunil has been raising co-op issues more often than not in the Bihar Legislative council and we hope that Saha’s entry to state Assembly will also strengthen the co-operative movement in the state of West Bengal, commented a cooperator from Bihar.
