Surat District Cooperative Union has given the award to Surat District Cooperative Milk Producers Union limited (SUMUL), one of the milk unions of GCMMF, which sells its products under the brand name of Amul recently.
The award was given for the outstanding performance in the 2018-2019 financial year in Surat and Tapi districts of Gujarat.
The news was shared by SUMUL Dairy MD S V Chaudhari to Indian Cooperative through WhatsApp.
He wrote, “The Award has been given by Surat District Cooperative Union to Sumul dairy for excellent and outstanding work in cooperative development in Surat and Tapi districts of Gujarat. Thanks are due to Surat District Cooperative Union for the Award on behalf of the entire Sumul Family”, he added.
Sumul Dairy is procuring milk from Surat and Tapi to the tune of more than 16 lakh liter every day.
