At the Two-Day National Seminar on “Dairy Development in Goa – Opportunities and Challenges”, C.A. Arun Purohit, Managing Director of Sumul Dairy, highlighted the organization’s unwavering commitment to fostering sustainable and inclusive dairy growth in Goa.

Addressing an audience of policymakers, experts, and cooperative leaders, he emphasized that the cooperative model, built on trust, transparency, and technology, remains the backbone of India’s dairy success story.

Purohit noted that Sumul Dairy’s continued association with Goa reflects its mission to empower local farmers through training, improved breeding practices, fodder management, and value addition.

He shared insights into Sumul’s field-level initiatives that have transformed smallholder dairying into a viable livelihood source, ensuring fair returns and rural prosperity.

He also stressed the importance of capacity building, digital traceability, and climate-resilient dairy practices to meet future challenges. “Sustainability and self-reliance must go hand in hand with innovation,” he remarked.

Reiterating Sumul’s dedication to partnership with Goa Dairy and the Government of Goa, Shri Purohit assured continued technical support, farmer-centric interventions, and cooperative development to make Goa self-sufficient in milk production and a model for regional dairy collaboration.
