EOU and Bhagalpur police have arrested incumbent as well as retired cooperative officials in connection with the Srijan multi-ctore scam in Bihar, say media reports.
Incriminating evidences have been found against the accused, say police. The rise of Manorama devi from a one-room tailor shop to the higher echelon of power has been part of much of the media reporting last week.
One of the arrested was posted at the Kahalgaon branch of the cooperative bank in Bhagalpur, a police source said.
Altogether 15 persons have been taken into custody in connection with the swindle so far. The daughter in law of late Manorama Devi is still on run along with her husband.
