Bangalore based Sree Thyagaraja Co-operative Bank has added another feather to its cap by winning two major accolades at the Banking Summit 2025 held in Mumbai last week.
The bank’s President, Dr. M.R. Venkatesh, was conferred the title of “Best Chairman of the Year 2025”, recognizing his exemplary leadership and commitment to cooperative banking excellence.
In another significant achievement, the bank was also honored as the “Best Bank in NPA Management”, showcasing its efficient handling of non-performing assets and robust financial governance.
The awards were presented by Prabhath Chaturvedi, CEO of NUCFDC, and Sumanesh Joshi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Telecommunications & Information Technology, Government of India. Several other dignitaries and banking professionals were present at the event.
Dr. Venkatesh expressed his gratitude for the recognition and attributed the success to the collective efforts of the board, management, staff, and loyal customers of the bank.
