Uttarakhand Cooperation Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat on Thursday chaired a review meeting of the Cooperation Department and carried out a detailed assessment of the department’s functioning.

Terming the rising Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) of the State Cooperative Bank as a serious concern, the Minister directed officials to immediately convene meetings of large NPA accounts and ensure effective recovery through a special drive.

During the meeting, Dr. Rawat reviewed the action taken so far in connection with the SIT probe ordered into 21 cooperative societies. He instructed officials to ensure complete transparency and time-bound progress in the investigation process.

The Minister also reviewed preparations for upcoming Cooperative Fairs to be held in Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar, and Tehri districts.

Registrar Cooperative Dr. Meharban Singh Bisht, Additional Registrars Mrs. Ira Upreti and Anand Shukla, Joint Registrars Neeraj Belwal, senior officials, and representatives of cooperative institutions were present at the meeting.
