In a landmark achievement, Telangana’s Jagtial-based Gayatri Cooperative Urban Bank has secured the second position among Urban Co-operative Banks (UCBs) in Southern India, crossing a business mix of over Rs 3,700 crore as of 24 November 2025.
While Visakhapatnam Cooperative Bank holds the top spot in Southern India, Gayatri Bank has made its mark by surpassing a few peers in business growth.
Sharing the details with Indian Cooperative, CEO Vanamala Srinivas stated, “We have crossed a business mix of Rs 3,702.97 crore, comprising deposits of Rs 2,104.69 crore and advances of Rs 1,598.28 crore. We are second in business mix, first in customer base, and first in branch network in Southern India.”
This milestone underscores Gayatri Cooperative Bank’s rapid growth, extensive outreach, and strong focus on serving members, further strengthening its position as a leading urban co-operative bank in the region.
