The Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative Ltd. (KSSFCL) organized a 7-day Basic Banking Certificate Course for junior employees of Souharda Urban Cooperative Banks from July 1 to 7, 2025, at the Regional Institute of Cooperative Management (RICM), Bengaluru.
The program was inaugurated on July 1 by Venkatesh N, Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies (Urban Banks), who lit the ceremonial lamp and praised KSSFCL for taking significant steps in strengthening the Souharda movement in Karnataka through education and training. “Training is necessary to increase our efficiency,” he remarked, highlighting the importance of knowledge enhancement for the sustainable growth of the cooperative sector.
Presiding over the program, KSSFCL President G. Nanjaan Gowda noted that while the organization had earlier conducted training programs, this course had been upgraded to a full-fledged certificate course with structured study materials. He urged all participants to take advantage of the opportunity and emphasized the role of technology in achieving institutional goals.
Raghurama Reddy, Director of KSSFCL and the chief guest, lauded the course as a valuable platform for holistic learning. He stressed the importance of commitment and shared knowledge among employees, urging participants to serve customers with sincerity and dedication, calling them “God.” He encouraged staff to work with both heart and common sense.
Dr. P. N. Suresh, Director of RICM, and Sri Sharanagouda G. Patil, MD of KSSFCL, were also present during the inaugural function.
A total of 86 participants from three Souharda Urban Cooperative Banks enrolled in this certificate program, aimed at equipping them with practical banking skills and professional development.
