Minister for Cooperation S.T. Somashekar greatly appreciated Kodagu’s cooperative banks’ excellent performance as loan repayment by borrowers was as high as 99 percent, reports Hindu.
Nearly 10 cooperative institutions in Kodagu had completed 100 years of their services and every cooperative institution in the district had an impressive record in loan repayment, the minister said.
While opening the centenary celebrations of Kushalnagar PLD Bank in Kushalnagar, the minister said 21 DCC banks in the State were in profit and that the State had 5,477 PLD Banks.
