Participating in a TV interview post budget GCMMF’s MD R S Sodhi said the budget is aimed at spurring economic activities in the country.
“The first sector which has impressed me the most is MSME that has received encouragement through Make In India. A lot of duties have been increased where MSP can contribute by locally making it”, Sodhi said.
Duties have also been increased for agricultural products like cotton and others which is also good, he added mentioning, “The second thing is the big expenditure on infrastructure because this not only helps the urban economy but also the rural economy.
Sodhi said “Another big calculation is 1. 5 times increase in MSP in the budget this year, which is a big boost to agriculture, and also a multi-state cooperative body is being formed which will be cooperatives like us.”
