Farmers in Rajkanika of Kendrapara district in Odisha are angry at misappropriation of funds by the secretary of Siko Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society, reports Odishatv.in.
The accused has allegedly defrauded lakhs of rupees by raising loans in the name of villagers. The angry farmers have called for a vigilance enquiry into the scam.
Several farmers are quoted saying the accused has cheated scores of them of their hard earned money. One of the farmers urged the authorities concerned to take immediate legal action against the accused.
