As part of ongoing tree plantation drives by district cooperatives, the West Pendam Multipurpose Cooperative Society organized a planting program to mark the International Year of Cooperatives and the state’s 50th anniversary.
Aligning with the Chief Minister’s “Mero Rukh Mero Santati” initiative, the event saw active participation from local students, teachers, youth groups, society members, and officials.
With 150 saplings provided by the Forest Department, trees were planted around the cooperative premises and nearby school, highlighting cooperative values of solidarity, community care, and sustainability.
This effort underscores the society’s dedication to environmental conservation and collective progress.
