In a significant step towards modernization and improved governance, the Sikkim State Cooperative Union (SICUN) has introduced a biometric attendance system, in line with the Board Resolution. This initiative is aimed at ensuring greater transparency, accountability, and efficiency in managing employee attendance.
The move reflects SICUN’s commitment to embracing modern technologies and establishing robust systems of governance, setting a strong example for cooperative institutions across Sikkim. The introduction of the biometric attendance system will streamline administrative processes, reduce human error, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
In his statement, SICUN Chairman Mangaljit Rai remarked, “This forward-thinking initiative is expected to strengthen the spirit of Cooperation Among Cooperatives and further promote Digitizing and Digitization efforts across the state. With this step, SICUN is leading the way in building a more transparent and efficient cooperative sector in Sikkim”.
