The Government of Sikkim, under its flagship “Connect to Earth” programme, signed a Joint Venture Partnership Agreement (JVPA) and MoU with the Central Pendam Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society (MPCS) at the ADC (Dev) office hall, Pakyong. The pact was signed by ADC (Dev) Robin Pd Sewa and MPCS President Sudip Pradhan.

The 31-year agreement aims to promote eco-friendly cob houses, natural huts, cultural preservation, eco-tourism, local employment through cooperatives, and organic family living. A Joint Governing Committee chaired by the ADC will oversee implementation.

Officials highlighted its alignment with the CM’s “One Family, One Entrepreneur” scheme. Temi Tea, a state-owned enterprise, will set up its outlet under the initiative. Local representatives and officials attended the signing ceremony.
