In a significant development, the Arbitration Court has declared the September 19–20, 2024 elections of Shrinidhi Cooperative Credit Society as invalid, citing them as fraudulent. The order, issued on March 30, 2026, has directed the Assistant Commissioner and Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Lucknow, to conduct fresh elections for the society.
The ruling is being seen as a victory for transparency and accountability within the cooperative framework. While attempts are reportedly being made to challenge the judgment in a tribunal, sources indicate that those responsible for the alleged irregularities are unlikely to succeed.
Members of the society have been urged to actively participate in the upcoming elections by contesting for director posts and exercising their voting rights to ensure fair governance.
