In a proud moment for the cooperative credit sector of South India, Shri Beereshwar Cooperative Credit Society has constructed a sprawling, ultra-modern head office across 8 acres in Examba, located in Chikkodi taluka of Belgaum, Karnataka.
Known as a leading multi-state cooperative, the society’s new headquarters is being hailed as one of the finest ever built by a credit cooperative in the country.
During a recent visit to Karnataka, the Indian Cooperative team had the opportunity to tour the society’s new headquarters. Guided by the society’s General Manager (I/C), Bahaddur A. Gurav, the team was impressed by the scale, modern facilities, and architectural brilliance of the campus.
The main head office building, covering a total plot area of 137,697 sq ft (around 3.16 acres), has a built-up area of 80,800 sq ft. It houses the Administrative Office (48,480 sq ft), which accommodates 250 employees, and is equipped with centralized air conditioning, CCTV surveillance, fire safety systems, meeting rooms, a boardroom, and a well-maintained cafeteria.

The Recreation Hall, with a built-up area of 7,176 sq ft, is designed for meetings, seminars, workshops, and indoor games. The society has also constructed three residential staff quarters, each with 20 two-BHK and 3 one-BHK units, totaling a built-up area of 72,056 sq ft. Each block includes a hall for private events and lift facilities.
In addition, a dedicated canteen (827 sq ft) operated by Nad Brahma Idli Center offers hygienic and affordable meals. The Power Supply Building ensures uninterrupted electricity with a generator and solar changeover room. The society has also installed a 270 KW solar rooftop system (484 panels), at a cost of Rs 90.40 lakh, reducing its dependence on conventional power.
The campus also includes a water filtration plant (350 sq ft), two gardens covering 8,250 sq ft, a children’s play area (1,000 sq ft), and a well-organized 3-acre parking lot with over 150 trees, enhancing environmental sustainability.
Blending modern infrastructure with deep-rooted cooperative values, Shri Beereshwar Cooperative Credit Society’s new head office is being hailed as a benchmark for credit cooperatives across India. The society now eagerly awaits its grand inauguration by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, a moment set to mark a historic milestone in the cooperative movement.
Founded by Annasaheb Jolle, an ex-MP and prominent cooperative leader, along with co-founder Shashikala A. Jolle, MLA, the society has been progressing steadily under their able guidance.
