Maharashtra’s Shivkrupa Cooperative Credit Society recently organised the Shivkrupa Sahkar Cup 2025–26 Inter-Departmental Cricket Tournament at Star Sports Academy, Dhayari, Pune. Fourteen teams from different divisions took part in the tournament.
The final match was played between Pune 2 Riders and Thane Strikers. Batting first, Pune 2 Riders scored 82 runs in five overs and won the match by 6 runs to claim the championship title. Thane Strikers won the toss and chose to bowl first. Their captain, Deepak Shirke, delivered a strong all-round performance and was awarded Player of the Series. Dheeraj Todkar of Pune 2 Riders was named Man of the Match.
A key highlight of the tournament was Amit Pawar of Pune 1 Warriors, who scored 88 runs off 30 balls, setting a new record. He received a cash prize of Rs 2,100 from the society’s founder and president, Gorakh Chavan.
Pune 2 Riders were awarded the winner’s trophy and a cash prize of Rs 15,551. Thane Strikers received Rs 11,551 as runners-up, while Mumbai 1 Titans finished third and won Rs 7,551. The prize distribution ceremony was attended by cooperative leaders, directors, officers, and staff.
