Shah to launch Sahara Refund portal on Tuesday
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will launch the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS)-Sahara Refund Portal on Tuesday.

The CRCS Portal has been developed for submission of legitimate claims by the genuine depositors of four Cooperative Societies namely; Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., Saharayn Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd., Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd. and Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd.

It is being said that the Portal is user friendly, efficient and transparent and the entire process is digital.

The portal can be accessed through the Ministry of Cooperation website https://cooperation.gov.in. The genuine depositors of these Societies may login the portal and submit their claims by filling online application form available on the portal and upload requisite documents.

It bears recall that, on the petition of the Ministry of Cooperation, the Supreme Court had ordered the refund from Sahara-SEBI refund account to about 10 crore investors of 4 cooperative societies of Sahara Group, ending the long pending woes of Sahara investors.

Nice initiative by hon’ble Minister Amit Shah ji. He has done what committed to do. The poor investors were under so much of uncertainty in getting their hard earned money invested in the company. Beng one of them I am grateful to the govt and the minister especially for the dream to come true at last. Thanks from the core of my heart. Long live Amit Bhai Shahji.

A great initiative by the Ministry under inspiring leadership of the MOC, Sh.Amit Shah.
This move will go a long way in restoring image of cooperative credit sector which has taken a hit on account of .misdeeds of a few high profile entities.
Cooperative credit societies are large in number and they are performing yeoman service to society. If regulated properly they will be most important source of finance and means of saving for common man.
Congratulations to all officials of MOC

Really sir, we lost all hopes in getting back our hard earned money invested in Sahara credit cooperative societies when all our efforts went in vain. Though it is unduly delayed and we couldn’t make use of our own money on several serious personal and domestic requirements, we could finally see the day of hope now. We are highly thankful and indebted to Sri Amith Shah ji for his sincere efforts in upkeeping his promises made in order to relieve grief stricken Sahara investors. 🙏🙏🇮🇳🙏

We welcome the initiative taken by Hon’ble HM, Amit Shah ji, towards making refund of Sahara India investors through portal. However, we have to wait and see how we get back our money. For this refund, I Twitter about 300 msgs to SCI. PM and HM during past 500 days through my Twitter and FB accts.
