A book titled “Sahakar Maharshi”, published by Sahakar Bharati was presented to Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah during the launching of ‘Digital Portal of CRCS Office’ at Pune, Maharashtra.
It was presented by the book Editor Bhalchandra Kulkarni and its editorial member Dr. Mukund Tapkir to Shah. On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Cooperation B.L.Verma, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis & Ajit Pawar and others were present.
The book contains the biographical encyclopedia of 153 veteran co-operators who established the co-operative movement of Maharashtra. The book has about 900 pages.
It bears recall that the book was launched by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in Oct, 2021.
It is said that the ‘Second Edition’ of this book will be published in October 2023, with profiles of 175 veteran cooperators, who played an important role in strengthening Maharashtra’s cooperative movement.
