While congratulating IFFCO for securing the second position globally at Coop Kumbh 2025, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah lauded the organization for showcasing India’s growing strength and influence in the international cooperative landscape.
He said that IFFCO’s achievement reflects the strength and success of India’s cooperative model. With a turnover of Rs 41,000 crore and a profit of Rs 3,000 crore, IFFCO has emerged as a key contributor to India’s Green Revolution.
The organization brings together 35,000 cooperative societies, most of which are Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and marketing cooperatives, enabling more than five crore farmers to benefit from its services.
Shah highlighted that IFFCO produces 93 lakh metric tonnes of urea and DAP annually and is now exporting its nano urea and nano DAP to 65 countries, including Brazil, Oman, the United States, and Jordan.
He said that IFFCO stands as a shining example of how Indian cooperatives can achieve global scale and impact, empowering farmers, driving innovation, and contributing to sustainable agricultural growth.
